Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you purchase a template, we collect your GitHub username (provided during checkout) and email address associated with your Stripe account. We do not collect passwords, government IDs, or financial information beyond what Stripe processes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your GitHub username to invite you to private repository access after purchase. We use your email address to send purchase confirmations and product-related communications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. LaunchApp does not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other financial information. Stripe's privacy policy governs their collection and use of your payment data.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with our storefront (pages visited, buttons clicked). Analytics data is used solely to improve our product and marketing. You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time.

5. Data Retention

Purchase records (GitHub username, email, product purchased, date) are retained indefinitely to facilitate license delivery and customer support. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting hello@launchapp.dev.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies for essential functionality (theme preference, session state) and optional analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work correctly without them.

7. GDPR and CCPA Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You also have the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@launchapp.dev.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. GitHub collaborator invitations are issued through secure OAuth tokens.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites (Stripe, GitHub, Resend). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
